The installation UniDisplay – uni (Psycho) Acoustic by the artist Carsten Nicolai combines his first long-term research results on cognitive psychology. The work can be seen as a work in progress. He uses large-scale graphical modules and different optical patterns and shapes, to touch the various aspects of human perception. The sound chamber uni (psycho) acoustic supplemented “UniDisplay” on auditory level. Congruent with the visual structures in the UniDisplay chamber the visitor hears (psycho) acoustic Phenomena. The work was specially developed for the exhibition at MMK with the students of Staedelschule. (Philipp Bergmann was one of them). The work was bought by MMK and included in their archive.
