“I occasionally think how quickly our differences, worldwide, would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world.”
(Ronald Reagan to Michail Gorbatschow in 1988)

VOYAGER I is an autopsy of the representation of representations. The Voyager Golden Record becomes the sacred body that contains the wisdom of humanity and wants to be understood. Like in a show trial, the pictures and sounds on the record are brought to the stage and processed on it. In different experiments, bodies and imagination, fact and fiction are colliding. What remains of this game about the interpretation of different symbols, is a weird taste on the tongue of every involved human being.
